About The School

Hamilton K-8 School’s Mission Statement

Hamilton School provides a supportive learning environment devoted to the academic excellence and social-emotional and physical growth of all students. We give students the tools to be life-long learners, builders of knowledge, effective communicators, problem-solvers and responsible citizens. With respect for cross-cultural experiences and values, we strive to teach our students to accept one another and prepare them to become contributing members in our democratic society. Our goal is to help every child reach his or her potential in a safe and caring environment.

Hamilton PreK-3 Initiative Mission Statement

We are committed to building the foundation necessary for all our students to achieve proficiency in language arts and mathematics by third grade.  Through our collaborative efforts we will ensure an emotionally and socially safe environment and a culturally proficient school climate, welcoming families and engaging parents as partners, as we align curriculum, instruction and assessments.

Our Commitment: Equity For All

We approach the education of our students from a holistic perspective.  We serve the whole child and their family.  We strive to remove barriers to learning like food, clothing, shelter, and security; we provide optional extended day & year classes, we employ highly qualified and motivated teachers, and we provide extracurricular activities to keep our kids in safe and productive environments before and after school hours.  We are always striving to ensure every child can be successful.

Welcome to Hamilton K-8 School  – an inclusive, innovative and high achieving academic community.  As principal of Hamilton K-8 School I could not be more proud to have chosen to dedicate my professional career to the education of students within the public school system.   I am honored to work with such a wonderfully diverse group of students,  families and staff.

In earlier years I  worked as a Research Analyst and was introduced to the power of data usage and analysis. The staff at Hamilton K-8 uses data to inform decision making surrounding all aspects of student learning; to determine areas of weakness, areas of growth, and opportunities to enrich.  It is this in-depth understanding of data that has guided our work, and provided our students with programs that meet each student at their level.  The success of our students has earned Hamilton K-8 the honor of being named a two-time Title 1 Academic Achievement Award recipient, as well as a 2015 recipient of the prestigious Gold Ribbon Award for Academic Excellence.

We all play an important role in the success of our children and if our children are successful, our communities thrive.  I encourage all parents and families to visit Hamilton often, participate fully in their child’s education and be an active participant in the  home/school partnership – it is invaluable to a child’s academic success.

Get involved; join us at our community events and volunteer whenever possible!

School Accountability Report Card (SARC)

What is a School Accountability Report Card (SARC)?

Since November 1988, state law has required all public schools receiving state funding to prepare and distribute a SARC.

The purpose of the report card is to provide parents and the community with important information about each public school.
